Beaconsfield, Contemporary Seat and Waterfall

Description

This project aimed to renovate a rundown garden in Beaconsfield. Our clients requested a contemporary yet natural looking garden for all members of the family. The design should include architectural forms, opening up the overgrown space, an area to grow herbs and vegetables, and a play area. A contemporary seat and waterfall, using natural slates and logs, was designed as the focal point. Logs were used for both the contemporary log shelf and to pave the floor of the seating area. The modern circular bench was made of cedar wood. The garden’s slope was gently raised to create a flat lawn, and the overgrown borders were replaced by mature bamboo plants to form a contemporary hedge. Venetian fencing was installed all around the garden to create a soft, modern boundary. Up and down lighting on the fencing and the slate wall are great features at night.
